Pastor Nicolas Onufriychuk
Pastor Nicolas Onufriychuk was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. He immigrated to the United States in 2000 with his wife Galina and their two children. He earned a Bachelors of Theology and Christian Education degree at the Theological Institute of Moscow.
The ministry of Pastor Onufriychuk began more than 25 years ago when he first dedicated his life to the Lord and committed his efforts to the preaching of God’s Word. He began preaching at his local church in the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine at the age of 17. After graduating the Theological Institute of Moscow, he was given the opportunity to teach several classes including World Religions: Islam, New Testament Survey, Youth Ministry, and Christology. In 1997, Nicolas became a Coordinator of the International Bible Cassette Institute during which he wrote lectures and seminars which were read and recorded on cassettes. After immigrating to the United States, he ministered as a pastor at the First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church of Syracuse for 6 years beginning in 2001. Pastor Onufriychuk founded the Herald of Joy Ministry in December 2008 along with several families in Syracuse, NY.
Pastor Nicolas Onufriychuk is passionate about evangelism, reaching out to the nations by preaching God’s Word to the lost souls, edifying the body of Christ in the understanding of Scripture, and caring for the needs of the destitute.
